Alcuni episodi di normale routine nell'Emilia partigiana

Nel Modenese la "giustizia proletaria" fu esercitata con particolare ferocia contro le donne, fasciste o presunte tali. Oltre alle violenze consumate sulle malcapitate già destinate a morte, subito prima della loro soppressione, non furono pochi i casi di sevizie e violenze d'ogni sorta. Episodi di sequestro e di detenzione di prigioniere prelevate e tenute in vita fino all'inservibilità delle medesime come "oggetti sessuali" per i loro partigiani sequestratori, nella sola provincia di Modena, se ne contano circa duemila.

E' noto il caso di Prima Stefanini Cattabriga e Paolina Cattabriga, di Cavezzo (MO) madre e figlia, quest'ultima di 15 anni, prelevate il 16 aprile 1945 dalla tristemente nota "banda di Cavezzo" il nucleo partigiano alle dirette dipendenze della Brigata Partigiana Garibaldi, e costrette ad un calvario di 12 giorni prima di ottenere la "grazia della morte". "Azione di guerra", naturalmente, così il C.L.N. commentò l'accaduto. Un altro membro della famiglia Cattabriga, Angiolino, fratello di Paolina, in seguito alle percosse, mutilazioni, bruciature in quasi l'80% del corpo da parte dei sanguinari partigiani, impazzì e morì nell'ospedale di Mirandola.

Un altro caso conosciuto ( sono assai di più quelli di cui non se ne sa niente...) è quello di Rosalia Paltrinieri, di Medolla. Ella aveva il "torto" di essere la segretaria del Fascio femminile locale, nel quale si era impegnata prodigandosi e mettendosi a disposizione di tutti i suoi concittadini. Era convinta di non avere nulla da temere, perciò, nonostante nella zona si vociferava su quanto stessero combinando i partigiani, preferì rimanere al suo posto. Nonostante tutto, aveva fiducia nei propri simili... perchè aveva avuto la "sbadataggine" di considerare i partigiani appartenenti alla specie umana... Ma pagò per la sua "colpa": un gruppo di gappisti le invasero la casa, bastonarono a morte il marito così violentemente da fargli schizzare via il cervello dalla scatola cranica; poi la violentarono davanti ai suoi tre bambini. Alla fine, come da copione, le svaligiarono l'abitazione e la portarono con loro conducendola in un casolare in aperta campagna, dove nel frattempo era stata trascinata anche una certa Jolanda Pignatti.

Qui, le due sventurate ebbero modo di "espiare" ancora a lungo la "colpa" di essere fasciste (violenze d'ogni genere) finchè furono costrette a scavarsi la fossa. Ma Rosalia Paltrinieri, la morte se la dovette proprio guadagnare: "non le fu fatta la grazia di un colpo alla nuca". Venne legata e fatta stendere viva nella fossa che lei stessa aveva scavato; a questo punto i "coraggiosi partigiani patrioti" la ricoprirono accuratamente di terra. Uno dei coraggiosi partecipanti a questa "eroica azione di guerra", ebbe modo di vantarsene nei giorni successivi, insistendo compiaciuto e soddisfatto sul particolare che Rosalia Paltrinieri, mentre soffocava sotto le palate di terra che le venivano gettate addosso, invocava ancora i suoi bambini.

Dopo due giorni, ricondotto davanti al comandante del reparto dei ribelli, era ancora invitato a rinnegare la propria fede. Al nuovo e sdegnoso rifiuto veniva nuovamente portato sul posto dell'esecuzione, ma anche questa volta risparmiato nell'illusione di poterlo far ricredere. Per la terza volta invitato a baciare la bandiera rossa, le sputava contro e baciava il gagliardetto nero proclamando la sua indefettibile fede nel Duce e nell'Italia. Condotto per la terza volta all'esecuzione, veniva fucilato lasciando nei presenti viva, profonda commozione per tanta eroica fierezza e indomita fede.

Questo fenomeno era vivo però quasi esclusivamente nelle terre occupate dagli anglo-americani, perché al nord la rigida disciplina delle truppe germaniche ed il controllo dittatoriale delle autorità politiche e militari italo-tedesche sulla vita nel territorio della RSI costituivano un freno difficilmente superabile per il dilagare del malcostume. Questo fenomeno, che si manifestava in azioni di brigantaggio, rapine. uccisioni, corruzioni, diffusione vastissima della prostituzione, borsa nera, delinquenza minorile, strozzinaggio, avanzava verso nord con l'avanzare delle truppe anglo-americane ed anche nel territorio della Repubblica Sociale si diffonderà rapidamente, subito dopo il termine delle ultime operazioni militari.
